NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Gymnastics Federation of The Bahamas selected its first CARIFTA Gymnastics Team this past weekend after hosting a three-week training clinic at Bahamas Star Gymnastics with visiting Azerbaijanian Coaches, Samira Gahramanova (Artistic Gymnastics) and Laman Goyushova (Rhythmic Gymnastics)

Embark on the sheer exuberance of a maritime jubilee as St. Joseph's Parish celebrates a glorious 90th Anniversary with elation!! The Men's Ministry extends a warm and hearty invitation to everyone for a splendid gathering at the "Pirates A Shore" Boat Cruise. Arghhh Matey!

Join us for a charming voyage on June 29th aboard the jolly vessel of Blackbeard's Revenge Pirate Ship, where laughter and camaraderie are the treasures of the evening. Arghhh Matey, tickets are only $30.00, the adventure begin at 6p.m, setting forth at 7p.m to 10p.m, from Bay Street, just beyond Elizabeth Avenue. Come sail the sparkling waves of Nassau harbor with us in a festive conviviality! 

Arghhh Matey, amidst the night's twinkling canvas, revel in the enchantment of live music, sizzling grilled treats, tasty fritters, delightful cocktails and refreshing soft drinks. Bazaar and Raffle Grand Prize Winner

Thirteen (13) year old Destiny Allens received the keys to a brand new car today, after her name was on the winning raffle ticket. Her mother, Kim Allens, says the car came at just the right time for their family and was overjoyed to hear Destiny’s ticket matched the grand prize drawing.
Deacon Peter Jones and Raffle Committee representative Inger Johnson congratulated Destiny and Kim as received their brand new car at the Automall today.

As it recognizes its 90th year, the membership at St. Joseph’s Parish say they are “on the move,” proud of the church’s nine decades, and still going strong.

A year of celebratory activities which kicked off with a Eucharistic celebration on January 28, 2024, at the church on Boyd Road, will wrap in January 2025 and was done in an ode to the parish’s rich legacy in the Chippingham and Bains and Grants Town communities. 

The next major event is the church bazaar, one of the church’s major fundraisers, which members say will go a long way to support the parish which is still recovering from the slump in parish collections during the pandemic....For full story click link
