• Assistant Leader - Mrs. Felita Cheng
• Secretary - Ms. Angela Neely
Immediate Past Secretary is Ms. Brenda Ferguson. Some of the past leaders of the Ministry include Mrs. Ironaca Morris Baker and Mr. Maxwell Daniels Sr. both now deceased.
WHAT DO MEMBERS DO?
The Visitation Ministry members minister to sick and homebound members of the parish. This is done through regular home visits, phone calls, prayer, cards, and letters, according to the need of the family or individuals. Visitation Ministry Members also give support to families during times of death, grief, sickness, and other crisis situation. We are trained and equipped to be encouragers and listeners.
Members of the ministry have been commissioned by the Pastor so those members who are Eucharistic Ministers also administer Eucharist to the sick and homebound. Members pack and deliver grocery bags and blankets to individuals where needed. Once identified during a visit, if the sick and homebound have other needs, these are brought to the attention of the Spiritual Advisor who ensures that help is given.
We are God’s people caring for God’s people. We offer the following gifts to families:
WHEN DO WE VISIT?
We are divided into groups of three or four and each group arranges a convenient time for visitation to their assigned sick and homebound parish members, based on the schedule of people in the group. Prior to any in-person visit, a member of the group will reach out to the sick or homebound person or their caregiver to pre-arrange a visit.
